Justus Mwendwa

firefox Justus and his wife, Ruth, oversee the men and women sponsored by Encompass in Kenya for the first year of their new business. Ruth interviews potential recipients and counsels them during the set up and implementation of their business.




Justus Mwendwa was born in 1979 in Makueni district, eastern province Kenya, being the forth born in a family of six and got married to Ruth Wanzau in 2008. As a young boy he attended primary school and later secondary education both at Makueni district. Later Justus joined CEFORED (Center for Relief and Development) institute where he graduated with a diploma in Community Development.

He worked as a volunteer for International Christian Center serving as a cell (home fellowships) sector leader in Nairobi west. He also serves in the ushering ministry.

In June 2007, he moved to Rwanda and worked for a faith based organization in program development and monitoring.

Justus gave his life to Jesus in February 2004 and has been involved in ministry part of which involved coordinating a fellowship at his place of work in Rwanda and also teaching at Deliverance church Kigali.

His interests are teaching the word in small groups (home set ups) and working with the poor to build their capacities and speak hope to them.

Justus’s goals are to make Jesus known, serve the community as he serves God, and also participate in fighting the challenges facing our community.
