Gardy ST Paulin
Meet Gardy. Gardy and his team of dedicated people oversee and run the Haiti based feeding program. If not for Gardy and these other wonderful volunteers, this feeding program would not be in happening.
My name is Gardy St Paulin. I was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. After high school completion, I studied and completed French Studies (2003), Public Relations and Protocol (2005). I also studied computer. Presently, I am majoring in education in a teacher training school called “École Supérieure St Ignace.” located in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti.
I have been a youth leader for about seven years in the Mission of the New Jerusalem Church containing more than 2000 young people with different backgrounds in the District of Delmas, Port-au-Prince. I have been part of many youth groups and cultural clubs; I have worked along with other potential young where we’ve put up a magazine pertaining to rubrics on culture, spirituality, science, environment, sports for the youth community of Delmas. I am also a member of an Association for the socio-economic development of communities called ‘’Colporteurs du Dernier Message’’. This Association counts many devoted Christians professionals willing to serve and influence communities in the scope of holistic development (spiritual, socio-emotional, physical and cognitive) by addressing the need of improving human living conditions, building schools, equipping churches, creating little business, lecturing on topics related to development and other similar activities.
In August 2008, I went to the United States so as to attend a Seminar (International Forum) held by the ‘Unesco Chair & Institute of Comparative Human Rights’, in Storrs, Connecticut. That Seminar was debated on Human Rights issues, and I was the only representative of Haiti among more than 50 nations from all over the world. I have been awarded an International Certificate on Human Rights in that seminar from which I have acquired many skills enabling me to address and bringing solutions to issues related to human rights.
I am a teacher of English and French. I have also ministered to children in orphanage and worked with the leadership on their living conditions and education. I have lectured to many youth groups on Protocol and Good Manners. I have also worked for Compassion International as a translator and interpreter.
Regarding the feeding program set in Haiti, we are now just able to feed 85 people who are in dire needs with a kit of food that can only last one week at the most. These people are our brothers and sisters in Jesus who just can’t meet by themselves their families’ needs. We always endeavored to cover more needy people through this food program, but alas! we have no means for that. Actually, we are trying hard to see if God could send more hearts of Compassion who will just catch this vision, extend their kindness and act meaningfully.
We really want to be stable, on a first stage, with one hundred people who will on a monthly basis receive food for at least two weeks for their families. As there are more people who want to benefit from it, we stay hopeful that soon God will extend this outstanding program to a greater number of families and enable us to grant them more than just a kit of food.
Thanks to all who are going to make this a reality. God’s blessings pour out on you all!!
