Working to feed the world both Spiritual and Physically.
People asked why we go overseas to volunteer and why they should go also. Does it really make a difference?. Please read the following:
A letter from a Haitian mother:
“To all the members of concerned organizations, I thank you first for feeling our pain,” she wrote slowly in pencil on what became an eraser-smudged page. “I note that you have taken on almost all our problems and some of our greatest needs.”
Ms. Saint Hilaire, 33, then succinctly explained that she had lost her husband and her livelihood to the Jan. 12 earthquake and now found herself hungry, stressed and stranded in a camp annex without a school, a health clinic, a marketplace or any activity at all.
“Please — do something!” she wrote from Tent J2, Block 7, Sector 3, her new address. “We don’t want to die of hunger and also we want to send our children to school. I give glory to God that I am still alive — but I would like to stay that way!”
There are people globally just like Ms. Saint who are looking for someone to help, someone to care. We understand that their is only so much people can do in the physical to help these people but we can do unlimited good in showing love and care. People worldwide want to know that they are not forgotten. Whether we go and do construction, or a medical clinic, or children’s play day...the main purpose is to show love and care to others in need.
Together we can bring hope, health, and healing through personal contact, food, and clothing. These are just a few of the ways the we can be the change we want to see in this world
"Be the change "
And remember, DOING NOTHING...IS NOT AN OPTION!
It is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish...
